FORTUNE ALUMNI CONTEST
The Fortune Alumni Contest is a unique and exciting brand engagement event
that aims to bring
together alumni from various high schools for a friendly yet competitive
cooking showdown.
The event is designed to support alumni groups in giving back to their alma
mater while fostering
unity, collaboration and a sense of community amongst them as they showcase
their culinary talents.
The maiden edition had 16 Alumni teams from Aburi Girls SHS, Prempeh College,
Achimota SHS, Yaa Asantewaa Girls SHS, Mfantsipim SHS among others, battling it
out in a cooking challenge that tested their creativity, teamwork and culinary skills.
The Achimota Senior High School Alumni team emerged as the overall winner, taking home
product hampers. Additionally, food items valued at GHS 20,000 were donated to the
Achimota School Pantry to support the daily nutritional needs of the students.



FORTUNE CARES FOR THE LESS PRIVILEGED
In many cultures, widows are among the most vulnerable members of society. Bereaved of their partners, they often face financial insecurity and social isolation. Understanding these challenges, Fortune in partnership with the “Care for Widows foundation” focused on providing rice to widows' households, ensuring they have a stable source of nutrition and sustenance.
FORTUNE ENGAGES OVER 500 WOMEN AT BURMA CAMP
Fortune Rice engaged with 500 women through a comprehensive skills empowerment program aimed at
introducing them to the new products developed under the Fortune portfolio. These sessions served
as a valuable opportunity for the women to learn about the brand's latest offerings, their nutritional
benefits, and their versatility in culinary applications.
However, the initiative did not stop at education alone. One of the highlights of the event was the on
the ground cooking activations, where a seasoned chef from Fortune guided the caterers present at the
event through various cooking methods with the Fortune rice variants and margarine. From local to
continental dishes, the caterers gained comprehensive knowledge about different rice-based delicacies
to enrich their culinary repertoire and also equip them to cater to a wider array of events and
gatherings as a business.
Recognizing that some of the women aspired to step into the world of trading, Fortune provided an invaluable
reference for sourcing the brand's high-quality products from its distribution channels. Furthermore,
the brand understanding the financial constraints that trading might entail, especially in terms of bulk
purchases, assisted the women by facilitating the breaking of bulk orders, enabling them to manage
their cash flow more effectively as they purchase for their table tops and kiosks.
